Our alumnus Paul Scott coordinates WFD project in north Africa
We are very pleased to congratulate our alumnus and associate Paul Scott, who has been appointed to coordinate a major capacity building project in northern Africa beginning this month, run by the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD). The two-year project covers the Maghreb region, including Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya and Mauritania, with funding from Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
As Project Officer, Mr Scott will be involved in human rights training as well as in leadership, drawing on his pioneering academic research and several years of teaching in the Jordanian deaf community.
The iSLanDS Institute would like to wish Mr Scott, the WFD and the deaf associations and communities of the Maghreb region the very best success as they move forward with this exciting project.
