Linguistics Research Symposium 21st May: Language as a multimodal communication system
The iSLanDS Institute is pleased to announce the next lecture for the Linguistics Research Symposium (LRS) series, presented by Robin Thompson from the University of Birmingham on Wednesday 21st May at 4pm in Adelphi TVi at UCLan. This talk is entitled ‘Language as a multimodal communication system: Insights from signed language research’, and will highlight new research on aspects of language processing and learning that shows signed and spoken languages can best be understood as multi-channel communication systems. The lecture will be in English and interpreted into BSL. All are welcome to attend.
