iSLanDS student earns MA for thesis on Algerian Jewish Sign Language
The iSLanDS Institute is delighted to announce that Sara Lanesman has achieved an MA by Research degree for her thesis entitled ‘Algerian Jewish Sign Language: Its emergence and survival’ at the University of Central Lancashire.
Algerian Jewish Sign Language, or AJSL, is highly endangered and Ms Lanesman’s thesis makes an important contribution to our understanding of this language and to the future protection of endangered sign languages. Ms Lanesman will receive her degree certificate at UCLan’s July 2013 ceremony.
Many congratulations to Sara from the staff, students, partners and associates of iSLanDS.
