iSLanDS team at language endangerment conference in Cambridge
Hasan, Ernesto, and myself presented at a conference on language endangerment at Cambridge University last week (http://www.crassh.cam.ac.uk/events/1332). We talked about small endangered sign languages in village communities in India, Turkey, and Mexico (our European Science Foundation project). It was a great and very historical environment, and we went on a beautiful boat trip on the river. In the lunch break, we were interviewed by BBC Radio 4 – the programme is available for a few days at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00zshnl#synopsis – we are working to make a transcript of the interview.
